The Propspect of Moving to Bigger and Better Things

Birmingham Bullring

The prospect of moving? It seems it might soon be time to move from my home town of Malvern and live in a city. Recently I have been evaluating how much I earn and if it is enough to help advance where I want to go in life. I can honestly say no it’s not helping. So I have been looking for jobs in Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol.

These three cities over the same type of job that I am on now, but with huge salary increases for less work. It is a no brainer then, that I take the risk of a fresh start in a new city and apply for jobs.

The Prospect of Moving

Moving to another city is daunting, especially as I’m happy being comfortable right now. The issue is moving all of my belongings, starting a new job, and then making friends. Obviously, I have a few friends in each of these cities, but obviously, the more the better. Fortunately, I’m quite independent and if in doubt, I can always become a hermit and play video games all the time.

So what sort of jobs am I applying for? Well, I’ve applied for social media and digital marketing roles with at least a £25,000 salary. The cities mentioned above all have these roles as options.

So today I spent the day with Dean Cueson a local of Birmingham walking around town. Dean gave me a taste of some of the places I’ll be spending my time at in Birmingham. I also used this as an opportunity to purchase some more clothes.

Recently I’ve failed to take photographs, but I wanted to take a few. The weather wasn’t the best so I made do with what I could. Below is a selection of mediocre photos.

Worcester Isn’t So Bad

Worcester isn't so bad?

One of the great things about the iPhone 7+ is the camera, I’ve found since owning it that I’ve been excited to take photos far more than I did with my 6. It makes taking photographs easy with its great picture quality, acceptable low light performance and the incredible, yet sometimes flawed “portrait mode”.

So whenever the sun is shining, friends gather, or we take the dogs for a walk I have to make sure I take as many photos as I can. Here are some photos from one trip down the River Severn with friends. I hope you enjoy them.

Jack Dickinson and George Taylor

After suffering fairly bad sunburn from a full day of riding the previous day, riding didn’t work out too well today. However, I did manage to snap this shot of Jack Dickinson.

After succumbing to the heat, myself and George headed into town for new shoes.  I snapped this portrait of  George Taylor outside Two Seasons in Worcester. George Taylor Portrait

Dean Cueson

Dean Cueson is one person who helped kickstart my career in media and filming. Since then we parted ways when I quit filming and unfortunately had to sell my bike due to financial reasons.

That was until recently when Dean reminded me that he was at  University in Worcester. This has allowed us to hang out more and ride together since I recently acquired a new bike.

Being such a good rider that he is, I love taking photos of his riding using my iPhone 7+

Today we visited Hereford skatepark, a park I used to visit frequently and a park that Dean has only visited a handful of times. If you do not know Dean, he likes to go fast and high.  Hopefully, this photo will articulate that fact.
